Forward Together’s leaders are immersed in best practice research, continually adapting and developing techniques which improve outcomes for children. Some of our projects include:
- Forward Together is working with the University of Manchester on projects to develop positive partnerships between teaching schools and alliance schools. The study reviews the whole spectrum of partnership working with the central theme of moving schools from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’.
- John Hattie’s ‘Visible Learning’ model is one that Forward Together has researched and continues to explore. The system of training allows teachers, put simply, to see learning and evaluate their own teaching through the eyes of their students. Middle leaders are encouraged to inspire and promote research-based learning, enabling students to become their own teachers. As we implement visible learning practices within the alliance, Forward Together will assess and report on the effects.
- We work alongside other TSAs on the government’s ‘Closing the Gap’ initiative which seeks to close the achievement gaps between children from different backgrounds. Committed to ensuring all children receive the highest quality education.
- Our TSA is committed to developing all colleagues within the alliance through the provision of high quality CPD, networking and support.
